I just watched the video about node calcuation from Mastering Rahu and Ketu. At the end you recommend using mean node. I was a bit surprised since when I got my chart from vaultoftheavens it seemed that they were calculated using true node (...that chart gives Rahu at 29d04, but Planetdance, jhora and astro-seek all give 29d14 for Rahu true node and 29d44 for mean node; I don't have Kala at the moment to see what it would say).

Searching the forum I found some recent posts where you recommend true node.

I'm wondering why exactly you have decided that true node is the preferred calcuation?

I use true node now after some more tests on charts where it changed dramatically.

I know the calculation says that the nodes go direct sometimes. Is there a significance to this?

No, no significance to it. It is not going retro for the same reasons that other planets go retro. its simply doing it because the moon is changing lattitude.
