Hi!

I am still not getting it fully:

In my example I have Ketu in the 4th with the 2nd cusp and Rahu in the 10th with the 8th cusp. I read the main characteristics by analysing primarily the node axis 4/10 and then there are concrete events indicated by the cusps? I don´t get the full picture of the house/cusp interaction- can anybody assist?

Thank you!

Hi Tamara, so you should focus on the 2nd and 8th axis since those are the cusps joining the nodes. Meaning your security paradigm is on being self-reliant whereas you’re being directed to focus more on dealing with other people’s resources since Rahu is with the 8th cusp. The signs can also shed more light because ultimately it’s about balancing the signs. Does that help?

@suzanstars Ok but what about Ketu in the 4th and Rahu in the 10th house- does this has no meaning at all and what counts is more the cusps? For me it was like the main focus of axis in general, the 4/10...

@tamarap it is interesting because being angles, the Kendras always are important because they’re most active in the chart. But how it concretely manifests will be connected to the actual cusps they join. The issue with 2/8 axis is about resources and values trust issues on a more internal level. So because they’re angular places from the lagna you just have an extra layer to work with. But I would focus more on the 2/8 axis since those will show the concrete manifestation of it basically effecting that dynamic of feeling you have to be super self-reliant and being adverse to letting others help you/relying on others.

one more thing, you can also look at all of the Vargas to see if there’s a common theme/thread for confluence so you can get more information on how it’s playing out. Also look at the lords of them to see the whole picture.

@suzanstars Thank you Suzan-I am getting some kind of huge AHA-effect now-revealing the 2/8 cusps in my 4/10...I find myself very much in what Ernst is saying about it in the videos. But nbevertheless have to still figure out the melting of 4/10 and 2/8...it is still a bit abstract how the signification of Rahu/Ketu in the 4/10 houses blends with the other cusps...

I have Rahu in the 2nd house with cusps 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the Campanus system. Ketu in the 8th with cusps 8, 9, 10 and 11. It's confusing!

In the end, its not what is most important, we have to manage the sign position, the house is jsut the area we practice that, but we need to get the sign right or our nodes will plague us. So keep that in mind. Don't try to blend the two houses, just see how much you relate to in respect to 4/10 and 2/8. Also, realize, 2 and 10 are artha houses and 8 and 4 are moksha houses, so both your nodes have a practical resourceful aspect and both have an emotional aspect.
