Are there any videos on the site that cover information on retrograde planets?

I'm not sure but in youtube you can find  where he talked about the  eclipse on June 21 of this year including the effect of retrograde planets, very good video

@ktie @mirela I am still unclear how Ernst feels about Retrograde planets. It seems like a lot of astrologers assign negative connotations to them, or say they cause trouble, but so far I have only heard Ernst teach that, " the energy is stronger because they are closer to the earth"... and this seems to be a good thing?

@rhiannon I would love to know how Ernst goes about it too.

I can only state how I've been using them, and if I need to change my outlook, I would be open to that.

I look at Retrograde Planets as stronger,  being retro means higher Chesta Bala, therefore that helps the overall Shadbala score.

As far as causing trouble, that depends on the nature of the planet, its dignity, place, agenda, rulership, aspects, and so on. That means Retro time can also be a wonderful time if everything else supports it. I certainly would have a hard time defaulting its results to troublesome.

I also pay attention to the retro motion especially in Tajika prasna as it's very telling with the enclosing or separating yogas it forms, and changes the answer considerably.

Lastly, in transits, I see the Retro planet like a 3 in 1 deal, the planet doesn't just get a chance per turn, but 3 chances to make it or break it within that time frame or degree interval. I find Retrograde planets a lot of fun to interpret, but I admit to putting my own twist on interpreting sometimes, and going off script to test the waters 🙂
