@ernst I have noticed that  in tajika system there is no mention of Ra or Ke's role either in 16 yogas or them influencing year lord , Muntha or muntha lord or any of the sahams, is that the missing link ? or there is logic behind it ? its a bit of a surprise to me as rest of other zodiacal systems use them very heavily

Persian astrology did not use the nodes. Even Brihat Samhita which is based on persian astrology does not use nodes. The Hindu astrologers used nodes and in the last century nodes have propogated to most systems of astrology, but even in western astrology, until recently they ignored the nodes. When i started western astrology one of the first questions astrologers would ask each other was, "do you use the nodes?"

Ask a hindu astrologer that, haha, he will look at you like you are crazy.

@ernst Interesting background, and in my view and after studying Tajika system which I find more  astronomically centered  systems compared to any other systems and top of that Persian loved moon so I dont think Persians would not have known these two points , may be  it did not make sense to them as I am sure they had cultural exchanges with hindu astrologers back then  and nodes must have crossed their  mind but not the system ... ha ha .. needs research .. afterall nodes are just crossover points on ecliptic a speed bump on the way - what happens when heavenly bodies(planets)  come close to these points ? just like burmuda triangle ?

I was checking on last few Varshphals for myself and found Ra Ke points makes sense. Like Ra is area of the development in that year and so on. If we look at their house lords and where they sit, just like birth charts, we can expand on it. To find the soul path for that year.  I was thinking how each Varshphal connects to the ultimate soul life purpose, will need more observation.

@ruchi thanks for the sharing your observation - unfortunately Patyayini dasha does not include nodes period however Mudda and Vim does just check if your observation  were more intense in any of these dashas  however Ra and Ke lords will definitely will have flavors which you have mentioned . My obeservation is if Ra/Ke conjunct the Varshapati or Muntha or Muntha lord it kind of becomes more intensed focus for that year

I was thinking how each Varshphal connects to the ultimate soul life purpose, will need more observation. - My two cents would be -  I think we should not expecting this from Varshaphala chart for that we shall resort back to Parashara and Jaimini as Varshaphala  is more of a timing method of an event and focus area for that year however if we want to connect dots it will big table with focus area of each year till we hit 50th Varsha Phala (age of sun ) and find the theme but it would be very tedious and time consuming

@Yogesh Lohra, Yes, Varshphal is more for timing an event and focus area. However, if we can find the soul purpose even in that one year, would not that be so much more meaningful to the person who is going through setbacks. Why will he go through divorce, financial setback, etc will help to make peace with the sorrow or pain of the event that we predict? I think Varshphal needs to be studied also on Ra Ke axis along the lines of what Ernst explains in birth chart to get deeper meaning of year. So, we get microscopic and macroscopic view of the person's soul and provide the right guidance.
