Hi Ernst,
The saham formula given for samartha in the Varshaphala manual doesn't seem to give the same results as Kala. In the manual you said its Mars - Lagna + Lagna with some special formula if the Mars is the Lagna Lord (assuming in the Varshaphala chart). This doesn't seem to work for me.
