Dear Ernst and other Varshaphala oriented astrologers:

First Question In the criteria for knowing whether a Saham is effective or not, when the word “join” is used, what does it mean?(Which one of the following)

  • Tajika aspect by sign, without regard to orb?
  • Tajika aspect taking into account the planet's orb?
  • Just conjunction taking into account the planet's orb?
  • Or just conjunction by sign?

Second Question Once knowing whether the Saham is effective or not, can I only use it if it is in one of the Bhavas that will be the focus of the year? Or are these Bhavas just used to know which Sahams are important?

Third and Last Question In the technique of timing a Saham with Mudda Dasha, when I am looking for an undesirable event (like an accident or disease), how would be the criteria of selection of a dasha lord? The one with the worst dignity and balaadi avastha?

Thanks in advance

Rodolfo

First Question:

-"join" means the Saham is in a particular Rasis, Bhava, or with a Planet. The Lord of the Saham aspecting also "joins" the Saham.

-The Orbs are are "yogas/aspects" which join planets, bhavas, and Sahams based on the speed and the orbs of influence to determine separating, applying, to time an event.

Second Question:

-The most significant Sahams will be reflected or mirrored with the focuses of the year indicated by year lord, munthaha, Lagna Lord, etc... (So for marriage/intimate relationships Venus, 7 bhava, Lagna Lord, and Vivaha Saham will all be joined or connected with the focal bhavas and lords.

Third Question:

Timing the Saham with Mudda Dasa is dependent on its lord and dispositor that has the best dignity in the D60, D45, and D40. I recommend listening to those classes very carefully alongside with the manual to understand the procedure.

The Sahams are always effective, meaning that the person will experience the Saham in some way significant or insignificant. How impactful, important, and significant the Saham will be on the person will be dependent on the focus of the chart indicated by the lords and bhavas. So the most significant Sahams of the year are will have some connection with the Varsha Pati, Munthaha and Lord, the Lagna and Lagna Lord, the Panchadhikaris. Likewise, the most important Lords must have significant Panchavargiya Bala, DwaDasha Vargiya Bala, as well as have good Hadda, TriRasi, Drekana, Panchamsa, Hora, and Navamsa Lords.
