@ernst

The first eclipse of this particular Saros Cycle for this upcoming solar eclipse (Oct.2nd) from eagle and the lark is different from the original eclipse of the Saros cycle in Kalas eclipse feature.

which one do I go by?
I believe some of the eclipses from eagle and the lark were incorrect if I recall right?
thanks!

May be easier to just check when exact Su, Mo conjunction appears around the point?

I don't have the eclipse feature installed, but looked up Nasa website for saros cycle 144 and adjusted time to match exact Sun, Moon conjunction, I guess the house cusps depend on the country, or do not matter - pls correct me on this if needed,

I found it to be April 11, 1736, 02:25:39 AM, Washington DC time, Is it close to what Kala feature shows?

@jam1

yes, that is what Kala has.

Eagle and the lark has the beginning eclipse of the series from April 1st, 1718.

Ahh, in that case, I'd just take 1736,

yes, the eagle and lark has many variances from nasa data, best to trust nasa data which is what kala works with. I will be making vids on the eclipes starting in half an hour.
