Hi Ernst,
Going down another rabbit hole and I have a few questions -
* If Jamini made fun of the named signs, why do we use it? If we don't use names of the signs, do we stay with house numbers? Would this then still be determined from the ascendant?
* With regards to exaltation and debilitation, or high and low dignity, or any of the contrasting measurements, in what context or from what perspective is that measured? A debilitated planet works just as well as an exalted one, and an exalted planet creates just as much trouble as a debilitated one. So, why the scale and why the bias?
Thanks.
Jaimini makes fun of the names aries, taurus, gemini and instead calls them 1, 2 3, but this does not mean that it has anything to do with houses. He just calls aries, sign 1. taurus, sign 2.
a DB planet does not work as well as an exalted. Only for one raja yoga, if the yoga factors are ex or db the yoga is stronger, but otherwise, DB has serious consequences in jaimini.
