I am looking at a surrogate chart (the child born to a surrogate mother plus the mother who requested the surrogate and her husband). I do not have the chart for the woman who gave birth to the child.
There are clear familial ties between the three of them.
Do we still look at traditional rulerships of 'mother' in the child's chart?
Does anyone have experiences looking at the charts from this perspective?
I thought the 11th bhava would be more important here, but also just a conjecture with only 2 chart examples in my files.
I have also read about Uranus being an important influence in IVF treatments, but again this is not something I have a lot of experience in researching as of now.
Thank you for any input from the hive!
Why the 11th?
Rahu should be involved, I guess.

Moon would take on stronger significations for the birth mother and Mars would signify the mother the child is being raised by.
I have an adopted niece in my family and her natal moon is in the 12th but her natal mars is in the 11th. This sort of spells out the story of loss of birth mother but gain of mother who works to raise her. Also Lord of the Moon is in enemy sign while lord of Mars is exalted in her chart.
There could be some interesting similarities and differences between surrogate and adoption charts. In the case of surrogacy when using the sperm of the father from the intended family, I would look for Venus playing a unique role. And perhaps in adoption the Sun maybe more of the activating influence.
Yes, look at normal mother and father factors. But consider that mars, who is the mother as well as the moon, but mars is the mother that gives strength to the child and much of this happens when in the womb based on the womb mother's health, mitochondria, intestinal bacteria health and heavy metal and other toxins. All these things the child caries from the birth mother.
