Hi all 🙂

I vaguely remember hearing that if exalted planets are opposite each other the exaltation cancels? How would this be read in the chart? I know a few people with mars in cap and jup in cancer.

Thanks!

Yes, there is that thumbrule but I think it only applies to sun and saturn as they also starve each other when opposite each other.

I know of a person whom I am close with who has Sun and Saturn both exalted opposite. Boy oh boy, do those afflict each other based on avasthas. This person can be quite controlling and always seems wound up, and their is a sense of 'friction' with her as well. But she also has Saturn with Mo and Ma starving Saturn as well which adds a whole other component. Though, since Saturn and Sun are strong (Taurus rising) she has some strong yogas which really aid in success.

She can be successful outside because of yogas (check the strength of yogas ) but she will be over identified with her body (Saturn rules snayu- muscular system) and all its enemies are starving it. Also there can be  ego  and anger issues.  So enjoyment of success is tainted with lot of internal conflicts. So happiness is missing.

Her yogas are very strong despite some evil lord action. She is very spiritual and has done A LOT to really heal the avasthas.  Sun in 12th rasi shows a component to the avastha scheme that is hidden and is hard to see even for me who knows her well. But it is lifetime process. Sa/Mo in 6th provided a legit trauma health wise. Yeah, ego issues for sure. But she has overcome alot which is really cool to see. This person is 69 years of age. She has some other really nice things in her chart though that helps. I would say that she is a happy person though. But issues for sure.

She has taken a sanyasi vow too.

If she got dharma yogas, then they will help.

With serious spiritual life, she would have been able to overcome the issues to a good extent.

Also wanted to mention Ra/Ke are in signs of Sun and Saturn. Ketu in Leo and Rahu in Aquarius. Adding another layer of depth to the Sun/Saturn opposition.

Her saving comes from Saturn and sun forming raj yogas and if she had long Saturn dasha. And since it involves sun in 12th of ashram, so it helps her in Sanyasa. Saturn in 6th is good to overcome difficulties too and has good dig bala. But moon 3rd lord in 6th will be hammering Saturn too and getting damaged back in LAs. So it is indeed a very difficult. Then ra in 10th means she has to learn to take great responsibilities and act without being the center of attention. It asks for being a true karma yogi to overcome all these issues.

Yup, Her Saturn has strong dig bala, high uccha, high cheshta and it is with a waxing Mo that is within a few minutes of being completely full. Sun being exalted has high uccha. So Mo has high cheshta as well. So the avasthas aren't slamming her left and right and she has abilities to work with them, to an extent however...Still Sa/Mo conjunct is no joke especially for a woman.

Her success involves managing a popular Hermitage complex.
