Dear Forum

I have a Basic question about the feet of the Rashi. In BPHS Chapter 4 the Rashi Sagittarius and Capricorn are described as been two-footed/four-footed and four-footed/footless. They are both different in the first half or second half of the sign as decribed.

Is this division made strictly in clockwise order of the (south indian) chart?

When we look at the Bala-Avashtas, the signs are different when female or male - with the male signs start at 0°(Child-Death) and the female at 30°. In this case the 'start' of a rashi would change...

Thanks for clarifying
Kaspar

Its generally taken in the order of the zodiac, so the second half of cap is footless and the first half of sag is 2 footed. However, we have to wonder if this is correct as both these signs are rise with their tails, which if we added that feature to the feet would reverse the feet. However, all books that use this foot division follow it in the zodiac order.
