Is there such a thing as house joy, fall, exaltation, etc. much in a way there is for signs?

I was looking over a chart for vedic astrology that is rather comprehensive, and in one particular section it notes how houses, like signs also correspond in theory to body parts symbolically in a way, however what was interesting is that it noted that houses also have their rulers, domicile, etc. I am just curious if anyone can link or show something with respect to this to clairify what is going on here. I am not sure where to look here as the sanskrit terms keep hindering me.
