What is the varga for legal matters and court cases/law? Navamsa? Since the D9 is the 9th house varga? D30?
I am actually leaning towards D20 since the 8th is legal battles (That is what Mr. Wilhelm said in a video..). D20 deals with 8th house matters.
@scott-m-19 I somewhat fermenter this video in which Ernst mentions legal battles... Was it that the 6th is the opposition, the 8th the battle itself, and the 12th the outcome/expense? Hope these different houses point the way to useful Vargas!

@scott-m-19 8th House is also house of devotion as per Ernst and in this context d20 is for devotions with 8th cusp is the primary factor . I will not look at d20 for legal matter , I usually look for for 6th ,8th and 12th houses in D1 , D10 (fruits of karmas) and then see if it connect with D40 , D60 (if time is accurate ) to check how severe or light impact it will have along with Transits. .Also quick look at Varshaphala as well for shatru(enemy) and bandhana (imprisonment) saham getting activated along with year lord and muntha lord focus areas for the year (if that indicates legal stuff going on )

I havnt done much research into legal matters at all to be honest. Not sure how much that will come up with clients though..
D1 for sure. Seems like 6th would be the most telling bhava with this. I find the 8th to represent so many things but if the 6th is involved and the 8th as well as Me for law than that could indicate a legal issue. speculating...But would need to look more into this to really see.
I have noticed that the D40 can really show quite a bit. It has surprised me to see how clear that Varga can show up when used with Cara and Chatushtaya dasas and other dasas as well. I have even seen accidents being shown there but just overall auspicious and inauspicious events really being highlighted. Can show when a tough time is happening and the 'nice stuff'. I often keep going to it.

In earlier post Ernst mentioned in d1,,6th is the enemy, 8th is battle and 12th is whether they are getting ahead or not.
So if the person has most of these houses and their lords in good shape, they will win else they will lose it. 6th factors weak means enemy is stronger, 8th factors weak means losing in battle and 12th weak means getting behind and vice versa. Based on the current dasha, judgement should be made.
In higher vargas, you can see relevant details to these houses... d27 how much strength of will power will be engaged, d40 how much auspiciousness, d60 how much success
