Hello Ernst and everybody, Some questions about maraka planets:
Maraka planet affects only in its Dasha, antar... , pratyan...?
Does it affect in the house it's in?
Therefore a Maraka planet in 1st will harm directly the body, the path?
And does the maraka planet affect through the significations he is karaka of? For example: Venus harms through relationships, food, vehicles, beauty...?
Or does the maraka planet harms through the items of the houses it rules, for instance Venus for Aries Lagna causes troubles through family 2nd and relationships 7th?
In which course can I find this information?
Just to clarify, the maraka planets are the bad planets for a specific lagna, right? Like for my Gemini ascendant Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. (How do we even stay alive, the Gemini ascendants?)
My question being: is there any other definition of maraka planets? (I guess not.)
Yes, I can tell you though, all the time periods for that planet. Dashas, antradashas etc. That I know.

Maraka planets are the killer planets, which means that during their periods are possible times of death. These are the 2nd and 7th lords of the chart and/or any planets in those houses. So they’re the most probable to cause actual death. Obviously, you would have to study things like longevity yogas, transits, varshaphala to verify since we can only die once. It’s when the life is no longer in the body.
