You have to subscribe to all the forums. 

Welcome to the forum, we just started this o ne after having the Yahoogroups for 18  years or so, but yahoogroups has deteriorated to so I put this up.

I'm trying to figure out also how I can get forum posts directly to my email.

@talia at the top of each forum/thread you can click "subscribe for new replies" and you will get email notifications 

Just subscribe to the forums you want emails from.
