Hi Ernst,

does one uses the cusp in the rashi chart in jemini techniques at all?, or the position of the house as indicated from their position from the lagna. in your audio course of jemini you refer in your examples to the houses and their meaning by their position from their lagna and not by the cusp position which can sometimes be different than the sign distance from the lagna. and so when wanting to for, example ,to determine connection of planets in the svamsha (or other varga) lets say , to a birth chart specific house, lets say 9th house,  for teaching or writing, do we look to find a connection to the 9th sign from the lagna or to the 9 cusp (in case their position is not the same). in any case, when do we use the cusp as indication to the hosee, and when do we use just the position of a house from the lagna?

Many things in jaimini are taken from non house things, like from the AK planet. And most things from lagna are also taken as signs from lagna. Unless I am showing it from cusps, just use rasis.

@ernst, i have just finished jaimini sutras, chapter 1 padas 1& 2 in the audio course, so in those techniques, when  looking at the birth chart, and needing to look at the chart generally ,and refer to certain aspects of his path, like  for example to the 6 house of disease, 8th house of longevity, 7 house for spouse,  4th house  for the mother, the 9t for the father or 10th for career etc, do i stick to that rule ? (the signs number from the lagna?).

You can use house cusps for those details.
