I'm currently caring for a baby bluejay that we found on the ground next to it's crushed sibling. Made me think of what the karaka might be and I'm thinking its Mercury. Am I right?

I believe the Sun rules birds. But, Mercury rules all animals and the animal kingdom.

Sun makes the nest (kingdom) and mercury is the differentiator - so it differentiates between everything...
