When assessing strength of planets of the Dasa one is in...the beginning of each Mahadasa, the Antardasa is the same. ..exp. Rahu/Rahu....or Venus/Venus.  When assessing both the Maha and Antar, as an election, what if both are the same?  Would the planet in question give twice the points or only those accrued ONCE by the Dasha planet?

The first antar of a planet tends to maintain the effects of the last dasa UNLESS, that planet is very strong to give something, in which case it brings in new things. You do not double the points.
