Hi Ernst and all,

I was recently looking at a chart of someone I know who has Ju as AK. Ju is heavily starved by being in Libra, conjunct Me and Sa and receives virtually no delight. However, it does quite well in various vargas in terms of dignity and is Exalted in the D20 and D60.

Ju as AK/svamsa only receives aspect from well dignified planets or benefics.

How would you see this overall for Ju? This person seems very devoted to their life path and has a very strong sense of purpose.

Juptier is starved. I see a lot of cases of starved Jupiter that at first appearances seems like a wonderful Jupiter. But over time you will see the weaknesses of the jupiter emerging. One thing is that the creative reality won't equal the creative potentional that you expected.. Also during testing times is when you will see the lack of faith in themselves and life. Unless of course they have worked it out, but if they have not involved themselves in really working on themselves, in time I always find a starve jupiter coming through. I find people fall into two groups, starved jupiters and delighted/garvita/svastha Jupiters.  They have a foundation of expectation that is very different and changes their very base philosophy to the point where I find it even impacting long term compatibility. so if  I see Jupiter in sign of venus or mercury or saturn, i find they will have an easier time building a more meaningful life with another person with Jupiter in those same signs.

Interesting, I have noticed people with Ju in signs of Venus and Mercury that when they speak about some kind of philosophy, whether it is personal or otherwise, it tends to not really register that well. Or their guidance simply doesn't work that well.

In the case the Ju is Exalted in the D20, I guess that means they have a strong ability to be devotional to whatever path they devote themselves too?

D20 is one of the charts that connect us to the things and events in the life through an inner affinity. Devotion is one such thing that makes this connection. So D20 is importnat for everylting in our lives, what we are devoted to, we get.
