Imagine 4 kids fighting for the same toy, the kid with the worst attitude can inflict the greatest damage to one or more kids. If we can just hold that kid back from keep trying to go past his worst behaviour, we can save a lot of damage.

I think same is the case with 4 planets together unless they are in 1,9,10 houses where they flourish together as per the special rule that Ernst told.

@tamarap

The rule is 4 or more planets in any house except 1,9,10 houses are not able to flourish together, so those houses experience a lot of difficulties, so it can give a sanyas yoga too.

@amit Thank you! Would you mind to share in which teaching/video I can find this information?

@tamarap the first time I heard this was Muhurta class, I remember in Muhurta of Ernst talking about 4 planets being in the 9th or 10th and things going quite well for the event example.  I think there maybe some discussion of this in Prasna class as well.

Hi Tamara and Everyone, some time ago I read a chart with Me,Ra,Su,Ve,Sa in the forth house in Virgo. So first I started with the good news: Mercury being Proud ..., only then I moved to the challenging part: starvation and shame, but since the person was already so afraid of the reading before starting, although he himself  insisted on having one, I preferred not to provoke an overwhelming situation, so I concentrated "only" on the starved troublemakers and ended the reading about his great moon without any affliction.

If he is interested in some more information, I would continue slowly, slowly with the shame ... So my approach is rather in alignment with the actual psychological condition of the client, friend in this case and stabilization - if necessary - comes first.

@solaia That sounds good! I sometimes feel that I have to retain information. I thought it is important to communicate everything but am learning to dose the things i speak about depending on what is necessary in this moment. We cannot process so much information in one session. Thank you for sharing your experience!

@tamarap At the beginning I also thought it is important to communicate everything, but then I realized that it is too much information for the person, one client even said "Stop, that´s too much!" 😳 LOL - so her feedback helped me to change my approach 🙂

This brings up an interesting question on the method of giving an astrology reading.  My general aspiration for giving a reading is, "may I say what the person needs to hear".  So far the current or just recently past or just about to come Vimshottari Dasa, especially if the Dasa lords are critical to the chart seem to bear heavily on the person's experience.  Then Rahu and Ketu will always be applicable, then what Ernst calls "Self factors" Atmakara, Svamsa, Lagna, Lagna Lord, Sun and Moon.  Some people are really together (the tiny minority!) but are going through a super tough dasa like Ra/Sa, Sa/Ra, Ra/Ve, Ve/Ra, etc so they need just a little bit of help getting over the hump.  Most people have layers of difficulty and the more applicable to their daily life I can make the reading, the better, so I try and find what's really hitting them and then if time and extra sessions permit, going deeper, wider.

I get a sense of fullness at some time in the reading, like a cup is full or a transfer of energy/information has been completed and that signifies me to stop.  At some point you'll see the client stop "processing" information and just gulping the next bit down in a type of fascination, that's a signal for me to stop as well.
