Hi Ernst,

when it comes to calculating the Lajjitaadi Avasthas for the Vargas, I was wondering about

  • Shadbala: I noticed that the values for each planets deviate from the Shadbala values in the D1 and also between the vargas itself. I was wondering how are the Shadbala values for the planets for the varga charts determined in Kala. Is it a certain percentage of the Shadbala in the D1?
  • Aspects: based on my understanding, I would expect the value of lajjitaadi influence on planets in the vargas to be equal to planetary aspectual influence in the D1 times its Shadbala value in the Varga divided by 60 (excluding the sign and conjunction influences), but somehow I am not able to reconstruct the aspectual lajjitaadi influences in the vargas. Could you possibly clarify in general how the lajjitaadi influences on other planets are calculated in the vargas? Is it the same between the vargas?

Thanks in advance,

Christian

In the vargas, we take the vimshopaka of the planet to modify the Lajjitaadi value.

@ernst

so we still follow the techniques in the predicting with avasthas course?

the one where you  use the vimsopaka values?

Yes, I do have to finish that, but yes, do that. I use the concrete chart and varga analysis techniques a lot and the Concrete Predictions with Vimshottari a lot. Those use Jagrad and Balaadi Avasthas.
