This is also an observation I've made in some charts;
It seams to me it's important for planets to cause good Avashtas (Specially through drishti and conjunction) . for example a very good avashta Jupiter which is not causing any good avashtas, will not be used until the person evolves from the Sun up to Mars and then enters the Jupiter state.
But if a Jupiter , may be even starved, delighting the Sun or Moon helps the person to grow through the Sun and moon stage.
It seams that creating good avashtas trough aspect and conjunction, causes the planet to be in more harmony with the totality of the chart and create more good habits for the person in total compared to it just being Proud or Swashta but not helping any other plant.
