hi Ernst, how would you describe Saturn when trying to fulfill its roll if in the 12 house?, the 12 house is a house of completion, so what does it mean if Saturn is there (if saturn healthy and not taking into account any afflictions), does it emphasize completion ( being a planet that is all about finishing), or its roll is let go of the idea of finishing something, i am not sure its really clear to me.
Also, please can you sharpen my understanding, when saturn in the 12th or in any house( which it does not rule), it is where Saturn consciousness expressed itself, meaning what one need to let go of. so how do we look at the houses that Saturn rule with regard to saturn role in a chart. do we consider the importance of its role in the house cusp he is in more, or the one he rules more, are they both what a person would be focused on completing. especially with respect to the Lajjitaadi avashtas.
saturn is an important karaka for the 12th house. Saturn is loss, 12th house is loss. We loose what we no longer need. So saturn in 12th is very much about loosing what we no longer need. If saturn is in a good avastha a person has a high affinity for surrender, if in a bad avastha, there is a lot of stress, attachment, and fears surrounding loss or even the idea of loss.
What is lost is the things that saturn rules. The losses can be drastic and before the person FEELS ready when in bad avasthas, when in good avasthas the losses are seen as a good investment, we have to give something for everything we get, thats how it works, that's the 12th house.
One thing that is very important to understand, we don't need to focus on completling saturn at all. its happening through time. We just have to surrender to it, allow it to happen. There is nothing to DO at saturn, there is only to allow and if we dont allow, we just suffer cause its going to happen anyway. So this is happening for the houses and cusps saturn rules and where its placed.
Saturn being the 1st and 12th lord, an affinity for surrender of self seems to be inbuilt to Aquarius lagna.
Yes, in 12th saturn can point towards retirement, but also transiting the 10th or especially the 8th can indicate that.
