I was chatting with someone today and the conversation turned to people who secretly destroy other people's property. For example, they deliberately scratch cars in the parking lot, try to break or jam gate locks, and do all sorts of things like that.
Could there be some type of avashta that influences adults to behave this way?
One of the principles of the Lajittaadi Avasthas, actually of all of Ernst's teaching, is that we get what we are. The way we act towards others is how we act towards ourselves.
So disrespecting other people's property and vehicles means that person is actually disrespecting themselves. They aren't treating other people's vehicles as valuable and worthwhile, because they themselves don't feel valued or worthwhile. These people probably don't take good care of their bodies, i.e., their vehicles. So it seems like avasthas of Venus would be primarily in play here, starved or ashamed probably.
