Does homeopathy have their own vaccines? Something to take on a more subtler level than the allopathic injections? If we take any of the reasons that vaccines are created, how does homeopathy view them? For example, polio - not everyone gets it, but everyone is vaccinated against them. How would homeopathy deal with that?
I am trying to visualize if it is possible to substitute one for the other and how, or make it work simultaneously but on different levels.
No, homeopathy does not do any type of vaccines. Homeopathy abhors the idea of vaccines. Homeoapthy can be used to maintain health as the body is threatened throughout its life and if a disease manifests it can be cured with homeopathy if the physician is skilled enough. The old homeopaths regularly cured severe diseases such as syphilis and even prevented amputations.
Its not a good idea. Taking a homeopath when a person is not having the symptoms of that remedy will just push a person into a disease state if they do it over and over. And it wont protect against any disease. YOu can't take a homeopath to avoid a disease.
The more I think about it the more Homeopathy really fits with yoga and vedic philosophy.
I read an interesting quote from the Vasistha Yoga yesterday that seemed to be in line with the homeopathic principle
"All these notions exist in the mind. Subdue the mind by the mind...expert washermen wash dirt with dirt. A thorn is removed by another thorn. Poison antidotes poison. " - Story of ikshvaku
Meher Baba said the same thing "Only actions can nullify actions, in the same way that poison can counteract the effects of poison. A deeply embedded thorn may be extricated by the use of another thorn or any sharp object resembling it, such as a needle, used with skill and precision. Similarly, actions are totally uprooted by other actions"
So this principle seems to be part of the general teaching that masters give and it follows that if all of life flows in this sort of way, the best medical practices would also be based on it.
