I realize that this question keeps coming up for me, but it's important and just not clear at all in the courses.

I have doubled back to the Astrological Anatomy and Nutrition course. Are we to rely on simply Rasis from the Lagna in the D-30 for determining if a planet is weak by being in a Dusthana, Cruel Bhava or Maraka? Or the Bhava cusps?

Because the example charts have only Rasis, it would seem we are to only count Rasis from Lagna.

I believe it is the Bhava Cusp itself (primarily) that we look for this. Ernst will respond most likely though.

For determining placement in dushtansa, cruel bhava, maraka bhava, etc. always use full rasis.

@ernst Thanks, as always, for your clarification. I am attaching a D-30 chart. In this chart, Taurus Lagna, gives the 6th Rasi as Libra.

1. Are we to continue with Rasi Lordship for specifically medical astrology here, making Venus the 6th Lord, OR

2. Use the bhava cusps, making Jupiter the important 6th Lord, as the 6th cusp happens to be in Sagittarius?

It depends on what you are doing. The 6th, 8th and 12th rasi lords are contrary to the wellbeing of the lagna, they stress it. The actual state of health, their resistance, etc. examine the 6th cusp and its lord.
