Mercury ashamed trauma and feeling smarter or dumber?

I have been wondering about intelligence and the feeling of craving to be smarter. Is this related to an ashamed Mercury with Rahu? 

I noticed a lot of people wish or dream of being smarter in the spiritual community yet they often have ketu in Pisces or the Sun here. Do we misunderstand intelligence and spirituality? Also don't we mix up mercurial down to earth abilities with intelligence. In Ernst course the Sun is supposed to be the smart one yet he can't express it as often the Sun is exalted in Aries but at the same time mercury is weak there near Pisces. 

So my question would be, are we in the spiritual community ashamed we can't express our abilities down to earth? Mercury in Virgo?
