Hi @ernst - I just completed the PAC mercury starvation by the moon video. In relation to mercury and moon forming a dharma yoga for libra ascendents, how do you see inspiration between enemy planets? I am trying to reconcile how this combination can inspire a person while the moon interferes in mercury's job of exploration. Thanks

Hi! I have a Moon-Mercury conjunction in my 10th and 11th cusp. Though it's not starved, it's thirsted because it's in Scorpio. I'll share with you how its been for me in case it helps.

I consider myself quite intellectually explorative. I also have a Gemini Swamsa, which really points to my love for learning and knowledge.

Here are 2 areas where I think my thirsted Mercury negatively affected me most:

- My mental faculty is impeded when I'm emotionally not doing well. I remember a few times in HS when I couldn't study, do my homework, write essays, etc when going through a really difficult period of time. Couldn't force myself to do. Mercury went into snooze mode, lol!

- I had a "I do whatever I want" attitude without caring about future consequences. I thought I could get away with anything, but it turned out that that was not the case! Though I matured a lot in my early 20s to where I don't think this affects me.

- In dating, once I meet someone I like, my Mercury doesn't want to explore no mo'! I've also had experiences with men where I've liked them, but the relationship failed to manifest, and then I'd still be mentally stuck on them for many months.

On the bright side, I'm quick to pick things up and discard it if I no longer feel passionate about it. I think this is a good quality to have, and I've learned accept that it's a core part of who I am. I don't think I can ever be that person who can work too long at one thing, company, etc. There always come a point where my Mercury wants to spend its time doing other things.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any questions!

Saturn is the primary yoga planet for libra. Its best when its in an angle or trine alone. WHile it can form yoga with others, it brings pain from bad avasthas if it does. Moon mercury is a weak yoga for libra and not really worth the staved moon. Yogas can be formed that give things, but that does not mean a person is happy. Many yogas are formed by planets that are starving each other. Jupiter with venus or mercury in an angle is bheri yoga that gives wealth and success, but Jupiter is still starved!

A planet starved by conjunction in a water sign is still starved, only aspect causes thirst.

Thanks @ernst. It amazes me how one can have in the case of Libra have the 5th and 9th lords together w/ the 10th (Sa-Mo-Me), be inspired and get the things yet not be fully fulfilled or unhappy.

Would you say that the foundational action to be taken is to heal the avasthas before enjoying any fruits of these yogas?

They yogas will give the fruits they indicate, whether we are happy or not, depends on our avasthas and on CURING seperation. Seperation is most significant where Rahu is. Whatever house and sign that falls in indicates a part of our psyche that we are seperated from and so not able to be happy.
