I think I have an interesting rahu/ketu placement because my rahu lord - moon - is conjunct ketu, I think the ketu effect becomes stronger because they're also in a saturnian sign. I'm still learning to grasp everything with it so far but pretty much all the info Ernst has provided has been on point. Although I will say I'm deeply into understanding my emotions (but will usually do it privately or with a counsellor), that could be because of many things in my chart but that could be because I have rahu conjunct mercury too.

I feel as though I've had lots of struggles with house axis areas 100% too - rahu in the 5th, ketu 11th - I have yet to stay with a job for longer than a few weeks and most of the time I don't work, lucky i have jupiter in the second house I guess bc I always have enough support to not be homeless. I've yet to tackle learning avasthas yet, but I feel like i can see a few different placements which could contribute to struggling with my rahu/ketu axis. Both of the final dispositors for rahu&ketu are mars in scorpio in the 9th house, up until now it never occurred to me to interpret the final dispositor *facepalm* I used to stop reading after I got to saturn in aries being the second last dispositor for rahu and ketu. I also have mercury in cancer which is supposed to be a great enemy if i remember correctly.

I wonder what everyone else's experience with these types of placements has been 😀

What signs are those in? Any planet shaming involved (for example, if the Sun or Mars are in a Saturnien sign as well?). The Moon is an enemy to Mercury so your Mercury in Cancer is starved if I am not mistaken. I would recommend you listen to that specific video re: Heart of Parashara and Mercury starved by the Moon. It’s worth it and I find the Lajjitaadi Avasthas to be a game changer.

I have Ketu in Gemini and Moon in Virgo so a Moon/Ketu same lord conjunction and, yes, very interested in understanding emotions but not exposing much of those in myself. Very poker face combo:p. Until more recently, diving more into my Rahu in 4th house. Houses and signs work holistically I find so it would be good to know which signs those placements are in for you:)

Thank you so much! I actually hadn't even encountered that link yet that has each planet's avasthas, but I'm so excited to watch them 😀 My mars is in scorpio and sun is in leo so they are both in good dignities by sign. Yeah I'm very interested continuing studying all the avasthas, sometimes it gets confusing, but I try hahah

Rahu is in cancer and moon/ketu in capricorn 😀

@virgogorl The Lajjitaadi Avastas is definitely worth investing some hair pulling time 😉 it's a game changer I find. At the end of the day, it simplifies chart reading a lot

I did a reading for a woman who has Ketu in Cap and Rahu in Cancer like you. How do you experience this placement? I talked about the material security emphasis versus lack/fear of emotional exploration and that Rahu can make someone confused about what makes them happy.

@mona well i was actually going off the sidereal placement, but in western it's in the leo/aqua axis - i still have moon conjunct ketu in both charts though. I really relate to being rigid with my emotions and communication in different circumstances or with certain people. I rarely feel able to completely be who I am around anyone even if I've known them for a long time. I think that comes into rahu being in leo too - not being comfortable with expressing or knowing/accepting your true self. There have definitely been times where I've tried to stay in jobs that aren't respectful/considerate of my emotions (or anything else tbh), but then again while being young I'm still learning to become aware and respect my own feelings. I will say though I do get super intense feelings and I am quite sensitive, like I could cry at the drop of a hat ????i get in such a bad mood if theres a sad song on and no one wants to change it - but just because i hate being so vulnerable and open with those emotions with other people. I've always loved counselling, love to explore my psyche and learn all that cool stuff haha - I NEED to understand with mercury and rahu conjunct. I have also experienced lots of psychic things personally, and come from a family who is into that stuff. It's really interesting because there's always been a mixture of having to be emotionally tough in my family while at the same time lots of oversharing in other areas.

I totally relate to what Ernst said about how when ketu-moon is in a bad mood you cant get them out of it - but that could be similar to ketu in Capricorn placement - I also refuse to talk to anybody about what has upset me unless I truly want to and feel safe to.

I think I relate to not knowing what makes me happy to a certain extent, I have general goals and ambitions but I think I can easily get discouraged by mood swings and existential crisis and think nothing is worth doing - typical capricorn pessimism?

I also experienced lots of shame towards being vulnerable with my emotions as a child with people close to me. I guess that may also be why I would rather speak to counsellors about my business rather than the people who have semi-traumatised me out of expressing my emotions LOL

Let Mona have a look at your chart for career factors Lis! She´s good at that; may help you with those concerns.

Or... I can give it a try; if I don´t find it we´ll ask Mona, what do you say about that?

@virgogorl. Yep, remember that in vedic you don´t study just one chart but also other varga charts, like for example the 9th, and bring up other tables. So it´s better to work in one´s own program and put in the birth data. But I guess Mona have that, she´ll probably send it to me.
