Birth time rectification - Emphasis on transits or D60

Hi,

Since a couple of months I use the BTR Method of Paul Manley, who learned it from K.N. Rao.

The principle ist checking the events in Vimshottari and the relevant vargas/houses etc.

Ernst implemented a great feature in Kala, the „predictive transits“ which I also use for BTR.

Ernst mentioned in one of his videos, the transit should line up.

For example for marriage: D1, D60, D40, D45 (not necessarily) and D9.

That works great but my problem ist the following:

when I subtract 1 second from my birthtime the D60 transit doesn’t work anymore BUT the D60 varga lines up wonderfully.

Add 1 second the predictive transits work perfectly, the D60 doesn’t make any sense anymore.

In my opinion the D60 should get more attention than the transits.

What is your opinion?

Best regards and I would appreciate any input from the forum

Thomas

Seems that you have to ask Ernst for parts of a second in the setting in next version of Kala. Maybe the answer lies there, in the milliseconds.

Basically meaning: Perhaps you can have both, it´s just that since it´s a matter of parts of a second you can´t see it in the program. I believe.

Hi Staffan,

thank you for your reply. That was also my first thought about my „problem“. Somehow crazy that milliseconds could have such an impact. I think the D60 is of more importance though. The transits nevertheless were a great help for narrowing the birth time.

Best regards

@adlhart Yeah, quite extreme, but completely realistic.

I agree. The D60 should carry more weight.

Its possible they are both correct. There are two possible  problems. One is that we need half a second. The other is that location is off a bit. If we are one mile away from the lat and longitude in the software, then that can change things as well, so play around with trying to get the exact location from google maps. Thats the more likely cause than a fraction of a second.

If time is exact, but we are a bit north or south of the lat put in the software, the asc can change, put the time in, then add a bit to the lat or subtract and you will see how much it can change.

@ernst

Thank you very much for your input.

I actually do use the Google Maps coordinates of the address where I was born. I checked them in Kala to be sure.

It really seems to be a matter of parts of a second. Somehow really astonishing. I suppose that doesn't occur often. I only made a rectification down to the D60 for my family, that means 4 people. I'm the only one who is affected. So nothing to worry about. I was just not sure if I did something wrong.

For clients (I'm really just at the beginning of consulting) I'm just narrowing to minutes since D10 ist the deepest I go. I try to "circumnavigate" the questions of marriage and job and answer with Lajjitaadi Avashtas. 😉

Best regards

Thomas

It is possible to be a fraction of a second!
