What factors do you analyze when you're booking a trip abroad?

Hey all, just curious about your process when trying to select the best months and dates for long-distance travel. Especially if you want to be extra cautious.
Do you look first at the animated transit calendar in Kala and pick days which have sufficient positive influence from Mercury, Venus, Sun, Moon? Do you avoid travelling during Me retrograde? 
Is the Muhurta color-coded calendar more important? Anything else you like to look into?
