Greetings Mr. Wilhelm and group,

When checking to see the more important returns of Venus, does it count as a more important return if the transiting Venus goes retrograde after passing the degree of the natal Venus, but without hitting the natal Venus before going direct again and leaving the sign?
In other words, must the retrograde transiting Venus cross the degree of the natal Venus whilst retrograde in order to be counted as one of the more important years of the Venus transits, where the more important lifestyle changes will be made?

Thank you for your time and attention.
????????

Regards,
Ẹniọla O. Adelẹkan

Yes, you want Venus to get crossed during the retrogression to make it one of the really important ones.

@ernst Also wondering if it makes a difference during these transits if Venus is retrograde in the natal chart.

This is a bit off-topic as it's Western Astrology - hope it's OK to share here!

I heard something about the 'Venus Star Point' from a western astrologer (I think on the Astrology Podcast), which in natal astrology is the conjunction between Venus and the Sun that occurred prior to your birth, which is said to creates a sensitive degree in your chart, and "locks in a resonance" between that phase of Venus whenever it reoccurs later in your life.

For me it's 15 Gemini, which is being hit in the transit now, and I can feel it! My natal Venus is at 27 Sag, so it won't be directly opposed by the Venus R, but it will be interesting to see if this is a "big one", because if it is, then it might have more to do with the retrograde going over this point than my natal Venus.

The Venus R will be transiting R over, in opposition to my DK too ... I wonder if this might signify some trouble in paradise.

To be concluded sometime in July!

Yes, we can do that for all sun conjunctions prevous to our birth, the most important being the start of the lunar month of birth which is the sun/moon conjunction.
