They are not calculated for vargas lower than D40, you have to do it manually from the exact degree of the saham in the saham table.

Sahams are not traditionally calculated for vargas but I did calculate them for D40 and up for using a technique i developed in varshaphala. It would be good to make them for all vargas, but until then, yes, you have to calculate manually.

@ernst ok , how do I calculate it manually for D9 and D7 one example would be good enough for me to see the logic , rest I shall do it .  Thanks in advance for explaining , may be  you can take your chart for e.g which is available to all to derive say Vivah saham in D9  if you dont mind . or share the logic whichever  is  less time-consuming for you .

I tried understading the formula which you have already shared  for each saham in manual  for e.g to calculate Punya saham below is the formula so I tried calculating it manually for Ernst chart for the current year    which means I will apply the same logic for all varshaphala vargas right ? but my calculation are showing the results as kala  for e.g you Punya saham is in Taurus at 11:46:19 (I am not able to derive this with following manual calculation can you tell me  where am I going wrong )

In your  D1 - Mo  is at 4.46PI and Su is at 8.48Ar (also Ar is your lagna at 7:44 which means it in b/w Moon and sun so we do not add 30 in final degrees )  so maths will be Mo (334.46 in Pi)  - Su (368.48 in Ar) +Lg (367.44 in Ar) =333.42 which means 3.42 PI and them If  count  333.42 degrees from Ar lagna i will reach PI 3.42 so somewhere I making a mistake , pls help

Saham

Point

Minus

Plus

Punya

Moon

Sun

Lg

@yogesh just take the degree and determine the navasmsa from that degree, each navamsa is 3 degrees and 20 minutes. each saptamsa is 4.28 degrees so simply make a table out the degrees from 0-30 and break it up to those portions.
