I´ve recently moved and don´t have access to my notations right now. And no access to the videos at the moment.

I´m reading a chart with a tough 4th house and 4th and 8th lords interchanged. A parivartan yoga. But what does Ernst say about it, could someone help me with a reminder?

The respective lords are also rasi aspecting each other. It´s Saturn and Venus in Libra and Aquarius respectively. Saturn is of course exalted, Venus is in neutral dignity. I guess their mutual friendship improves the situation somewhat?

This forms a Dainya yoga. Or misery producing yoga. I basically see it as an 'inauspicious' quality to 4th house matters. Sa exalted makes it better overall. PV yogas give a general theme to the chart.

"The 8th lord creating this yoga indicates breaks, death, destruction and disappointment to the indications of the other house."

Thank you! Yep, it´s quite straightforward I guess. At the same time Saturn exalted in an angle gives a mahaparush yoga to my understanding, so I guess it takes away much of the bad things. What makes it difficult though is that it´s conjunct an inimical Mars.

@staffan Hi Staffan, don't know maybe I'm wrong, but seeing the overall the Dainya Yoga, Saturn with Mars at the 4th, i feel and interpretate the exaltation doesn't take away much the bad things, but when Saturn matures the person will be able to transform this pain in something great.

This person has definitely a issue related to the mother; cancer ascendant, this pv yoga, the two malefics at the 4th...

@lola-sideral Yep, that is what I think too, he´s 42 now I think and is discovering his skills as a healer, which are great, and every arrow seems to point in that direction. I think he can become a powerful healer, like a shaman, but it´s an almost scary field to approach as an astrologer knowing how derailed most modern people become when their ego gets them in that field. I´ve seen far too much of it already, yet I have to tell him that it seems to be where his dharma want him to go. Jupiter in good dignity in the 5th, ruling the 6th with his AK Mercury - healer - and Sun in it, Cancer Lagna, so both healer karaka´s Mercury in Moon are self factors for him.

@lola-sideral Virgo Moon, so 3rd house. GF. Venus in the 8th, Shravana, the listening nakshatra. Mercury and Sun in Mula nakshatra, Jupiter in good dignity in Scorpio, exalted Saturn in angle so Mahupurusha yoga, lagna lord Moon in analytical Virgo. This man sees through the veils of life. I love his reaction when I told him about his chart: "What a responsability!" Indeed.

here are my notes on PV 4/8:

This creates a lot of instability for a person - to move from place to place, or country to country. Very unstable with respect to where they live. They move to a place for a relationship and the relationship ends then they move to somewhere else.

If the planet are in good dignity, it can give a person multiple homes or it can give some strong spiritual aspiration. A home here and a home there. The 8th house is the secondary house of home because it rules your your 2nd home. If you have good planets with dignity or good aspects from the 5th or the 9th Lord, you can find a person who has unstable living places because they have multiple homes. They travel back and forth between their homes. Misery here is because you are not at home a lot. You are up and about going around the world too much, the feeling of being lost in the world or unstable...

4th and 8th are moksha houses so they tend to be not as problematic as other interchanges. However, if the planets are in bad dignity or you get the ascendant lord stuck in there or the 6th or the 12th lord stuck in there, there is a good possibility of being in an accident, some serious vehicle accidents. So be aware of that...

@tuyetv Wow, thank you, that´s very informative and helpful. I´ll do the reading for him soon, we´ll see how it has played out so far.

Cancer lagna, Saturn exalted, Mars inimical. Still gives a Raj yoga I guess, since Saturn rules an angle in exaltation state and Mars rules a trine?

I have a friend with this parivartana. Virgo rising, Saturn and Mars in 4th Sag. Jupiter in 8th Aries. Therefore aspecting the 4th, its own. Thank God.
Very much what tuyetv says.
Very often he says of himself as having inner instability. He uses this exact word "inquieto". Sometimes more sometimes less but he almost always talks about it. Very much his identity.
He has several homes. And a strange rejecting behavior towards his homes.
He is the only son. And his parents have an appartement in Madrid and a beautiful house with garden and swimming pool in a residential-nature area one hour from Madrid. He as well inherited an appartement in a bourgeoise neighborhood of Madrid from his grandfather.
He was living for a few years in this flat but he didn't feel good there. He was always complaining, finally after struggling a lot he rented it for almost half price the market prices and rented a flat for himself in a working-class / poor neighborhood in Madrid. He felt unbearable to feel a privileged. From this rent he just takes enough to pay his rent and the rest he gives to charity.
Didn't last long in his new flat, one or two years later he moved to another city, and again a year later he came back to Madrid... In few years he went forward and backward from 2 cities. In between living at his parents house in the countryside.
He could be living from the rent of his flat, but instead he has to be cautious with his money. And he gets stressed by that. Not a stable job either. He studied Humanities, but he works as gardener because he loves nature. But at work he suffers by the way the regulations towards parks and green areas in the city treat the trees.

He has spiritual inclination.

Other issues that could be related to the parivartana. His mother suffers from a very bad health condition.

At the very beginning of covid he got a very strong pneumonia. Not covid. And despite being only 30 years old he had to go through a very serious surgery, as the heart was involved. They discovered his heart is impaired. He has deficiency of something (I don't remember what) in the heart. A chronic issue they just discovered.
His Sun 12th lord is in 5th Capricorn.
Saturn also affected by the dainya parivartana, as joins Mars in 4th.
