Ok i got a few questions,
I've decided to read saravali for yogas and I'm a bit confused
First how do u know that they are talking about rasi or planetary aspects? Like evn in akriti togas they don't really mention the way but i guess rahi makes more sence how do u know tho? Experience?
And even after that how do u know with the other ones that where's the rashi aspects or planetary specific? I guess it's planetary always untill rahi makes sence? Or atleast on timely yogas?
And how do u deal with the contradictions? Like sun in cap will cause misery and loss on account of women but if aspected by venus it will make money on account of women?
And aspects also mean conjunctions right? Like when they say aspected by specific planet the conjunction will also hold true int hat case? Ofcourse considering the laggitadi avashta that saturn will hurt any conjunct
Aspects have no bearing on akriti yogas.
Generally: Rasi aspects for Jaimini techniques and predicting the concrete, the outer manifestation of something. Planetary aspects for the psychology, for example to what degree a lajjitaadi avastha is affecting the person.
For yogas, planetary aspects. Not sure if that´s a general rule though, perhaps there are yogas with rasi aspects. I haven´t dived deeply into yogas yet.
Oftentimes it´s said "by aspect or conjunction", but sure, a planet with a cusp, for example, activates that cusp the same way it would do would it rasi aspecting it.
That´s my take on it.

Saravali uses planetary aspects, all books other than Jaimini do. However, that does not mean you can't use yogas with rasi aspects. I have found them working great that way.
Resolving contradictions is just a part of every chart. The rule is, if two differnet factors indicate different results, both things happen. If one factor indicates different results, the results blend can become less. in the example you gave, the results blend.
