Hi! I don't know if I understood the yoga right, so if anybody could clarify I would appreciate it.

Neechabanga Raja Yoga  is formed if "The planet that rules the rasi in which the debilitated planet is placed is on an angle from the Lagna or the Moon" or "The planet that is exalted in the rasi in which the debilitated planet is placed is on an angle from the Lagna or the Moon."

If the planet is not in an angle from Lagna, but is in the lagna, would the yoga be formed? Or the planet has to be in 4,7 or 10?

If Jupiter debilitated in Capricorn (Mars is exalted in Cap) with Mars and Saturn (Sa ruler of Cap) in Scorpio lagna would form a double neechabanga yoga?

Thank you!

The first house is an angular house, and a trine house too. So yes, the lagna counts as well.

And yes, that´s a neechabanga. Or rather, as you suggest, two. Saturn for being the lord, Mars for exalted.

@staffan would you also confirm for: Ju-Cap in 1st, moon in 2nd, Mars\Saturn in 11th. Or does 11th restrict yoga? Thanks!

@tieara7111 As said, I haven´t had time to get deeply involved with yogas yet, but isn´t the concept of 3rd, 6th and11th restricting yoga is only for what Ernst calls Kendra/Kona yogas? No restriction there to my knowing.

First of all for Neecha yoga you must have a debilitated planet. Here are 4 examples:

1. The planet that rules the rasi in which the debilitated planet place in on an angle from the Lagna or Moon. Jupiter is in Capricorn debilitated. Its lord is Saturn. If Saturn is on an angle from the Lagna or the Moon, then we have a raja yoga

2. The planet that is exalted in the Rasi in which the debilitated is placed on the angle from the Lagna or the Moon. Example, Mars and Jupiter are both in Capricorn. Mars is exalted in Capricorn, and Jupiter is debilitated in Capricorn. If Mars is on an angle from the Lagna or from the Moon, you have a raja yoga

3. The lord of the rasi in which the debilitated is exalted is on an angle from the Lagna or the Moon. For example: Saturn is debilitated in Aries. Sun is exalted in Aries. If the Sun is on an angle from the Moon or the Lagna, you have a Neecha.

4. The lord of the planet debilitation rasi and the lord of its exaltation rasi are joined or on an angle from each other. For example: Saturn is debilitated in Aries and its lord is Mars. Saturn is exalted in Libra and its Lord is Venus. If Venus and Mars are on an angle from each other or conjunct, we have a Neecha...

In your question Jupiter is debilitated in Capricorn, and its Lord Saturn is in the Lagna so that met rule #1 for Saturn. Mars is exalted in Capricorn. If Mars is on angle from the Moon or Lagna, then you have Neecha and that is rule #3 for Mars....

It has been a long time since i look at Neecha yogas. Ernst pls correct if i am wrong.... Thx!

you have a neecha yoga as i remembered in your chart - my understanding is it is not a cancellation of debilitation. The debilitated planet will always be debilitated, but it is the catalyst that spurs one to greatness. It is a weakness or suffer that makes one to continue on and become productive and successful...

Thank you! So "on an angle from lagna/moon" includes the situation in which planet is joining the lagna/moon. So happy I have 2, I know that they are not the most important but I'll take whatever help I can get 😊
