I was looking at a chart recently that had 4 planets in a sign forming both a raj yoga & a vipareet yoga.
Virgo rising with Ve/Me (raj yoga) and Ju/Ma (vipareet yoga) in 8th house.
Can this be interpreted as two different energies trying to go in two different directions? How would you go about this?
Four planets in a sign don't they destroy that house unless it is the 1st, 9th or 10th?

I am sorry Scott, I read your post wrong. I did not realize they were all in the 8th. In that case, you have to examine the raja yogas and see if the vipareet yoga planets are impacting the raja yogas enough to destroy it or not. The vipareet yoga is never in affect if it joins any other planet that is not a vipareet forming planet, in fact, that joining planet suffers.
Thanks for the reply. This was a chart of a spiritual retreat that is falling apart and was trying to make sense of the birth chart.
