I just finished listening to the Yoga for Cancer Lagna (video #20). I am looking at a Cancer Lagna chart, and we have Mars, Mercury, and Sun in the 7th. Mars the Yogakaraka the 5th and 10th Lord is in the 7th so we have a yoga here. But Mercury is the 3rd evil Lord and 12th Lord is conjunct with Mars. Mars being the 5th trine Lord is stronger than Mercury being the 3rd evil Lord. You said in the video that in general Mercury is NOT going to be able to obstruct Mars. Sun is the 2nd Lord in the 7th and being the 2nd associative it is going to boost Mars
My question has to do with the 3rd evil Lord Mercury. This Mercury is bad. It is in the 7th house with very little Dig Bala. Per Ishta Kashta Table Mercury has positive value +.1 and negative value -16.0. Mars has positive value of +5.3 and negative value of -8.9. Per Subha/Ishta/Dig to Grahas Table, Mercury negatively influenced Mars by -13.1. That is pretty strong. Sun is helping Mars by +1.1 not very much.
Given these facts, per your general rule above that Mercury is the weakest 3rd evil Lord, and Mars is the second stronger 5th trine Lord, Mercury is not going to obstruct Mars. But the negative strength of Mercury is so strong here, would you still conclude that Mercury is not going to obstruct Mars? Or is Mars now a flawed/stained yoga and will not be able to produce any yoga? Is this Mars now completely thrashed?
