Hi Ernst, if I've understood correctly, an afflicted Aditya can quite often refer to bad lajittadi avashthas there.

But you said Saturn does well in Aryaman, where it is not only debilitated but starved by it's great enemy Mars, creating a bad L.A. What are we to deduce from this? Is this Aditya afflicted or not?

I know Mars is exalted in enemy Saturn-ruled sign but at least its at full uccha instead of debilitated so it can do some good.

It looks like the Aditya chart is a completly separate way to calculate the D1. Just like there are diferent ways to calculate the D2, D10 and D24. Both calculations are relevant but give different results.

And when we ask "What is your Aditya?", that would refer to the one the Sun is in right? The only ray of love we are capable of manifesting totally when healed or unafflicted?

Thanks and sorry if this is jumping ahead again,

S.

Or are we only refering to afflictions and bad avashthas by apect and conjunction, instead of planetary lords?

Following this thread, as I have same question

As the first video mentioned, use it only for defining the space, my hypothesis is an Aditya cannot be ruled by a planet, rather he governs a certain law; and one way to qualify is to look at conjunctions and aspects of friends and enemies to the planet in question.

@mitryendra80

I think I remember Ernst talking in the introduction video about considering planetary lords at some point, after going through all the adityas first.

I know it is such a habit. I don't have any planets in Dhata, so then I thought, how is Jupiter?...but then I realized that maybe that isn't appropriate in this context.

Any way, at this point when considering Adityas I'm trying to forget anything else about astrology and just focus on the meanings of the Adityas right now, and let Ernst build the whole system for us from the ground up.

Intuitively it seems to me Rahu or Ketu being placed there would, by default, cause an affliction, I'd be curious to know if that's the case.

We will get to all that eventually, I am sorry but need everyone to be patient on all those things.
