Hi Ernst and everyone

I’m new here and very excited about my study.
so far I have read the Graha Sutras and listened to the course and I’ve finished the New Rasi course.
There are lots of info in my head at the moment and I feel I need to apply all the knowledge in practice. What’s the best way to practice at this stage of my learning (beginner).

Thank you in advance

Livia

Hi Livia! Welcome, welcome! You picked the right man to study from. Ernst is phenomenal.

I'm somewhat of a newbie too. I've been studying every day for almost a year now.

I personally was applying everything I learned to my chart, trying to understand it and myself better. There's almost never a week where I don't learn something new about my chart and how it plays out in my life. It's a really cool feeling, especially once you get into more topics Ernst teaches.

I also tried applying it to my friends' charts, seeing if it matches up with how I feel and what I know about them. I also ask them how its played out in their lives.

Learning anything new is like trying to put together a new puzzle. With Vedic astrology, that's a pretty damn big puzzle, lol. Once the puzzle pieces start fitting together, that's one of the sweetest feelings in the world.

Good luck 🙂

Personally i started with the Cards of Truth, which lays a good foundation in a short time and takes away much of the stress of having to learn everything on this page. 6 - 12 months of studies and  6-12 months of practice, and one may already open one´s astrological practice.

But I only recommend it if you have a good Venus, and fall in love with the cards, of course. In case you haven´t heard about them, it´s side project of Ernst´s that gave an astonishing result: www.cardsoftruth.com

He uses many astrological concept in that system too, so if you choose that study path you are still going to be aboard the astrology from the beginning. The planets, the rasis, the lajjitaadi avasthas, the  house cusps, the outer planets, the numerology, Jaimini indications, manifesting and separating planets etc.

Apart from that... Go with your gut feeling and realize that astrology is immense. You are not going to be a full fledged astrologer, like knowing every corner of this huge castle, in many years, if ever. Therefore it´s important to listen to Ernst when he speaks about the importance of intuition and trust in one´s reading. He gave a wonderful speach about this and other things a while ago,

As you have learned the signs and the planets, just look at charts and see what comes to you, what jumps out of the chart based on what you have learned. You can do a lot with just that knowledge, so it's great to work with it and just see how you put it together.
