Hi @ernst and all,

I have just recently started learning Cards of Truth, and wanted to discuss this with those with more experience.

For astrological natal charts, we know that the ascendant sign derives its characteristics as a result of how the rest of the zodiac signs are placed in the houses, sort of 'completing the loop'. Has it turned out to be true in your observations(or through intuition) that the birth card(equivalent of an ascendant) derives its characteristics as a result of the rest of the cards in the birth card spread?

Yes, I see it as, if you play your cards well then your birth card really shines. I’m a J♥️ but my Saturn card 4♣️ is a mess so it’s hard for me to fly around as much as a little bee ought to. But I end up doing so regardless of how easy it is, perhaps that’s my Saturn in OH though. In at least my case, the path card is what occurs when the birth spread functions. A spread with bad avasthas seems to lead to resistance to the path.

I imagine the BC spread to be like an orchestra, and the BC being the conductor standing in front of it. The BC decides the theme and the rythm. Or one can see as the front page of a book. The spread is the book.

From an evolutionary point of view I see the birth spread as a school for astronauts. The first six cards represent the learning process; we get basic skills in the Sun and the Moon card, we develop in the Mars card, in the Mercury we learn about strategy and how to go about life, in the Jupiter card we are being tested and in the Venus card we get a good meal and some rest. The Saturn card launches us, the Rahu card represents the docking process and in the Ketu card - if the launch and the docking have been succesful - we are welcome to get into the little planet that we are visiting, our own paradise. The 10th card is an omen of themes that we are going to meet and develop during our trajectory, and the cards of the outer planets are helping influences, like a helping hand that brings the bug back on it´s feet when it falls over.

Yes, all the cards are an aspect of the birth card that work together to give the entirety of the birth card.
