Dear Ernst,

You have two twins and have their birth times to the second.

When is the moment when the birth time is calculated to the exact second?

When the body first appears? When the baby first cries? When the umbilical cord is cut?

Saw this in an article from Shyamasundura das:

In Satya Jatakam, Satyacharya writes that there are three moments which can be taken as birth time:

1) Adhana lagna the moment of conception

2) Siro darshana lagna when the head becomes visible

3) Bhu patana lagna when the body touches the earth

First breath which is mostly in sync with first cry

In more primitive societies the baby would normally touch the earth right away as the mother would squat and give birth. In today's society when the baby may not touch the ground for hours, its not valid.

What I´ve learnt - for what it´s worth - from the spirit of an ancient healer that shows up to teach us in front of an altar twice a week (yep....!), (Chiapas, Mexico), a body can only give room for one soul. So while still in our mother´s womb we exist, we have life, but yet have no soul. It arrives when we take the first breath.
