When a planet is debiliated or Exalted, that will hinder or help its bhava which it rules. However does a debiliated planet destroy the bhava that its in as well?

A debilitated planet always harms the bhava it is in and the bhavas that it influences (Rasi aspects). Whether or not it also is unable to take care of the bhavas it rules in addition depends on its relationship to the Lord of the house in which it is placed.

The debilation state of planets indicates its innate weakness to render effects that it stands for. The circumstances of cancellation of debilitation is one of the paramount in assessing results.
The bad effects are generally brought by evil lords and gets accentuated when subjected to malefic aspects. Hence a debilitated planet need not be considered as bad for the house it is posited, unless the planet owns trik sthanas wrt house in consideration.

Hi Amit,
The despositer of the debilitated graha in kona/trikona, the lord of sign where graha gets exalted aspects the graha, any graha conjoined with debilitated graha, the navamsha position of graha like in exaltation, graha placed in exalted sign in D charts, of specific the matter is being reviewed; are few can cancel the debilitation. Such cancellation of debilitation render power to the graha.

I think Ernst said in these cases there will be both stuff going on, destruction on one hand while manifestation on the other. Meaning no cancellation literally.
