are there specific traits that is found in a Gemini sun, moon and rising? or do they all have different traits that make them distinct from each other?
Not just Gemini, but the other signs as well. (just used gemini as an example)
Because when we hear the word Gemini, specific personality traits come to mind right?
well, would those traits fall into the sun sign gemini, moon sign or Rising sign? or all.

Hi Khan, Sam Geppi wrote an entire book called The Ascendant, 108 Planets of Vedic Astrology where he goes into great details for each ascendant. His approach is this: a Gemini ascendant is an Air/Dual/Male etc sign which brings up those Air/Dual/Male qualities etc... Then, he talks about the Sun being the Lord of the 3rd house with its exaltation point being in the 11th house (because all Gemini ascendants have their 11th house in Aries) and debilitation point in the 5th house in Libra and draws conclusions about Gemini rising ideal functioning/pitfalls. For example, the debilitation point of the Sun being in the 5th house indicates that pursuing things in a too self-centered way (Sun ruler of the 3rd) will hurt their creativity, children, ... (debilitation point in the 5th house). Then, he goes onto the Moon, etc... and he does that for each sign of the Zodiac. I personally don't find the book super well written so am now drawing my own conclusions, but I like the technique very much because it gives you a foundation for each sign before you even look at the planets placement on the chart. Like with the Cards of Truth system, where it's important to understand the foundation of each birth card and suits before even looking at the planets.
Then, for the Sun or the Moon specifically placed in Gemini, I would refer you to the characters effects of the Graha audio course.
