Hi Ernst and all,

I am looking at a chart of a college student. She wants to be a lawyer. So i look at Mercury influenced by the 9th lord for Law and the 6th house for Litigation. Her Leo Lagna has Juppiter and Mecury (best position for them to be  Dig Bala wise) rasi aspect the 6th house Capricorn (no planet) its lord Saturn is in Cancer the 12th house in great enemy dignity. Also rasi apsect the 9th house Aries no planet with its lord Mars in the 8th house neutral dignity. I believe she has the planets and houses connection to be a lawyer.

The 6th house represents enemies; the 8th house represents battles and the 12th house represents results of the battles. Her 6th house Capricorn (no planet) and its lord Saturn is in great enemy sign in the 12th house. 6th house is rasi apected by Mercury Jupiter - great.  Her 8th house Pisces has Mars (9th lord in the 8th house) in neutral dignity. The 8th lord Jupiter is with Mercury in the Lagna , a manifesting planet so good. Moon is lord of the 12th house in enemy dignity conjuncts Mars in the 8th house. Her 12th house is Cancer with Saturn a separating planet, Venus both in great enemy dignity and Sun in neutral. Her Atmakaraka is the Sun. The 12th house rasi aspects Rahu in the 10th house Taurus. That is not good.

Her 12th house is not great. That implies she is not going to win too much as a lawyer. What do you think? Am i on the right track? Thx!

Hi Tuyet,

As I am very visual, I tried to draw it and got a little lost. I think Sun/Ve/Sa are all in Cancer 12th? Agree that general rule would be 12th is house of loss/expense. If so the pada is in Gemini, that could change the outcomes as it is the 11th, and then there is 12th and 11th from Sva and the pada per Jaimini loss/gain.  If possible can you provide a Jaimini screen shot of Rasi and Navamsa or birth data?

On a side note, not sure what she wants to specialize in, since not all lawyers are litigation attorneys. Depending on what country she resides in multiple possibilities exist there are estate, contractual, real estate, family, bankruptcy, civil and criminal both prosecution and defense attorneys. And heck lets face it, here in the US if you suck as an attorney you can go into politics and really screw everything up! LOL

@ltmoon Thank you for responding. Yeah, one can specialize in various areas as lawyers. I am thinking we have too many lawyers as it is. So her Rasi chart is: Leo Lagna with Jupiter and Mercury. 8th house Pisces has Mars and the Moon. 10th house Taurus has Rahu. 12th house Cancer has the Sun, Venus and Saturn.

i am practicing what i have learned in Jaimini... It is interesting!

@tuyetv Ha ha - Guilty of being Mercury AK - here, so I already created a mock chart with mid July 2003 and set planets accordingly. Agree too many lawyers - LOL!

1st thing that jumps out at me is that Ve hemmed by malefics in 12th! Venus is VERY unfulfilled in cancer already, so unless Su/Sa gives her MORE tolerance/patience/acceptance that's a tough combo. And a separating factor x2 for different reasons...   Chart looks very much like a victims advocate for sure.  D1 11th from pada is aries aspected by Me/Ju = manifesting.  D9 11th from swamsa is Sag (*bonus* also the pada) aspected by Mercury in OH.

I am also practicing what I am learning from Jaimini courses, but looks to me lawyer is OK option. Also has combo for psychology, writer, astrologer and POLTICIAN. Whatever it is should work out, I think she is running Sat dasa which means probable delays as it rules 6th house and is in 12th. Maybe the delay is just the education... which is lengthy...
