Hi all,

I'm brushing up on my Jaimini after years of not really engaging with it and feel really drawn and infatuated with learning it. I'm going over my old notes and through the handouts and I'm uncertain when to count in reverse. Specifically, I'm looking at Upadesa I and the basics about the Svamsa. Do we count in reverse from Svamsa if in even? I did a search through these forums for counting reverse and saw that we count them from the Pada and Upapada.

Thanks,

Dan

@ernst What about the Karakamsha lagna? Reverse or regular counting? If even of course.

I'm also going over Gemini again and on the subject of the Argala, I wanted to ask if when counting from KE or from the 7th house, the meaning of the houses is based on their number from the horizon only, or does the second house from KE also have the meaning of the second house/RASI?

Thank u

its both, so each sign is a hosue from many places, from lagna, from jupiter, from saturn, etc etc. in the context of argala, we are not verly concered about the meanings of the house, but of whether there is argala there or not.
