It's funny how accurate Jaimini is, the techniques often impress me. I know someone with a Moon Mercury conjunction in the 1st house, which is Virgo. And her Sun which is her AK is in the 12th house. So she pursued a degree in Psychology and has so far had a successful career in this field, continuing her education and training (she's still young, 28). So very much aligned with the healing profession indications!
The funny thing is I've known her since she was a child - I would have never guessed that she would go in this direction. She's a kind person but certainly not the type of person who would go out of her way to help people or instinctively want to ease suffering, or who has ever shown particular interest in understanding the workings of the human mind. It's hard to explain but just to this day does not give me "healer" vibes 🙂 though I know she is very capable and diligent in her work. Yet in some ways this is I think what makes her really good for this job. She's able to stay sufficiently detached from her patients, and doesn't take on the suffering of others too much. She has a Sudra + Viashya approach to life, overall.

@nkan Very interesting chart indeed. Mercury is a career planet from being the lord of the Pada. Being the lagna lord and in the lagna should be enough, one might think... Moon I don´t know - perhaps in the Svamsha?

She´s got Sankha yoga just by the virtue of being a Virgo lagna. Sa rules both 5th and 6th. It gives a lot of good stuff apart from healing capacity, so no wonder she does well in his work etc. Especially if the 10th cusp falls in the 10th house - in that case it´s aspected by own lord, exalted fully manifesting Mercury.

Exalted Sun aspecting the 8th causing no separation due to dignity. If the 8th cusp falls Aries her capacity for to revealing secrets is far beyond normal.

I´ve got a Virgo Moon myself; not the most enviable Moon from an emotional point of view, but very good for psychology. Analyzing emotions, that is. Actually I recommend everyone with a Virgo Moon to get into a field like psychology, astrology etc, because the Moon is going to work hard anyway, analyzing emotions, so it may as well be useful.

@staffan yes, 1 cusp in each respective house.
She's also a 10 of Clubs, so you know she has the power to achieve what she sets her mind to, overall. MT sun in the 8 Diamonds Sun card + Lagna, 10th cusp, Moon and Mercury in the Ace of Clubs Mercury card.

The chart is challenging in other ways, though. DB Jupiter in the 5th, ruled by DB Saturn in the 8th, ruled by DB Mars in the 11th. Saturn is with Ketu, though.

@nkan I was wrong about the Sankha yoga, for some reason it doesn´t count having the 5th and 6th sharing lord, it seems. We´ll see what Ernst, a Virgo lagna himself, says about that.

Wow, that´s a chart to learn a lot from.

As a Virgo Moon myself I recommend her water. Like a pink topas for example. In case you are her an adviser in any way.

@staffan sorry, could you elaborate on the water comment?

@nkan Moon needs water. Virgo Moon is a dry Moon. As said, good at analyzing emotions, which is wonderful in the funcion as a psychologist or astrologer with focus on emotions, but not helpful at all for our feminine side. Plus her 4th house is in a fire sign and it´s lord in yet another earth sign.

Putting the Moon in Cancer using a gem, could "water" her Moon, I believe. Using an opal obviously - the Moon gem - and pink or pinkish purple for Cancer.

But also hand-on water rituals, like visiting the sea or waterfalls if she can. Keep a round bowl with salt water on her altar if she has one, or i not somewhere in his room etc. Meditation with a bowl of water etc.

@staffan she is not (yet) into astrology or spirituality, but I will pass the practical advice on 🙂

@nkan Tell her I´m a Virgo moon too........ We need to cool it down now and then.

No, but for real, if she´s not, what can we do? Just wait and see if they dare to open up a door when they get older. Mine didn´t open until I was 35 or so.

I hope you don´t mind me having checked her up in the Maya calendar Cholqíj, which I work with since several years and keep in high regards. She has "Toj" energy. (the "j" pronounced like the Spanish j in "jalapeño" or "joder"). "Toj" is a resin used in fire offerings to the grandfather fire, so it basically means sacrifice and offerings. "Toj" people gain even more than others making offerings; light candles, offering tobacco, or whatever you want, to mother nature etc. It helps to keep the balance and keeps sickness away. Of course that goes for everyone, but for "toj" people it´s even more important.

Basically they have to make offerings and sacrifices, or become one themselves, through accidents, suffering or illness. But of course living a life of service is a offering in itself to a degree, so she´s probably on her path.

The "Toj" experience stems from the "Imox" experience, similarily to how an underlying card grows into a specific card, and then into the overlying card. "Imox" is water. So her relation to water is crucial and improving it, if needed, can really help her.

Her "overlying" energy is "Noj", which stands for brain, for wisdom. Just as the Kings in the card system that energy often leads to a breakdown before working correctly though; the ego has to die. But with Sa/Ke in the 8th she has things going for her in that field, although her DB Jupiter will make it a lot harder, of course.

@staffan very interesting thank you. She also just generally doesn't really follow other people's advice and suggestions 😀 She has had ongoing health issues that are difficult to treat (although - what ISN'T difficult to treat for modern allopathic medicine, amiright? 🙂 which is not surprising with that 8 house DB Saturn. We'll see how it goes, she is actually planning to relocate to coastside town, so that should probably help!

@nkan Yep, and a DB Jupiter with a DB lord is a cry for "you know what".  (OK, for cancer. Not the rasi.) It feels to me like a chart - or a person - with great potential for spiritual growth and if sickness is what it takes to unfold it maybe it´s a good deal?

By the way, Madonna is a 10 of Clubs, Sun in Leo (born August 16 too) , Virgo lagna, Mercury exalted conjunct the Moon in the lagna, Ke in Aries.

If THAT doesn´t get your friend interested in astrology, what will? 😆

@staffan I've told her at least twice in the past that her chart and card spread bears so much similarity with Madonna's! 😆 She is intrigued for like 2 minutes and then goes back to not caring/not believing. As I said, so far the attitude to life has been pretty much only Sudra + Vaishya. But she is also very young.

@ankan Our conversation inspired me to write a little thing on another Ten of Clubs, Jan Lindblad, in the CoT section of the forum, pondering among other things on their relation to death. May give you a key or two to your friend.

@ankan Also having her Sun, which is also her AK, right? in the 12th, being the Lord of the 12th, aspecting the 8th. She really seems to have come to earth for to befriend Death.
