I am about 15 hours into the Lajjitaadi Avasthas course, and am resonating so deeply with this topic. So much gratitude.
Where I am running into trouble is figuring out which avasthas I have.
1) I am quite new to astrology, and very new to Ernst. I have several different versions of my chart from different astrologers at different points in my life. One has sun, mercury and mars in the 5th house. Another has mars moved to the 6th house, but now joining ketu. (Definitely plenty of lajitta to work with either way from the looks of it).
Can someone point me to where I should calculate my chart for the purposes of this course so that I'm seeing the planets in the correct houses?
2) Is there anyone on this forum who can make me a list of my avashtas? Or help me see how to do it? I am happy to pay for that. I don't yet have the skill to figure it out with confidence and would hate to be focusing on the incorrect avashtas.
My birth data is Dec 29, 1980 9:56pm Castro Valley CA.

Using that calculator, Mercury, Sun and Mars are in the 5th house. Does that mean all 3 planets are lajitta because both sun and mars are there? (No need to reply in advance).

I don´t see any lajjita going on in your chart.

@meyes Strange, because I see Mercury, Sun and Mars in the 5th, in Capricorn. So that makes all three planets Lajjita. What rising sign do you get? I have her as Virgo rising.
@astroalex Yep, something went wrong when I filled in the birth data. I did it again and indeed; Virgo lagna and shaming in the 5th.
... which is not necessarily as bad as it sounds, @blossomb... Or yes, it is, but it also opens up for some unexpected possibilities... I have it too.
@meyes That's what I thought-- that all three of those planets were lajjita. It actually really resonates. And so much to digest.
From glancing at your chart, seems like you'll want to check out:
Moon Starving Saturn and relationship to Venus starving Jupiter, Saturn starving Moon and connection to Saturn starving Jupiter, Saturn starving Sun and action neutralized by Mercury starving Mars. Since your Mercury is combust you'll want to check out Sun agitating Mercury as well.
There are lots of strengths to draw on in your chart, I'm just mentioning the rough plarts in connection to the Lajjitaadi Avasthas.
