Hi, Ernst and company. I'm a little confused. In early videos (for example in the Shadbala course) you talk about the sun as our inspirations and the ability to choose them. But in the video "how to fix your man" on YouTube, Jupiter already determines whether we choose the right inspiration and way of life. So how do the sun and jupiter differ in the choice of inspiration?

Since you addressed your question "and company" I dare to respond according to my understanding.

Sun is Dharma, the path, what we have to do to become what we are.

Jupiter is understanding, philosophy.

SUn and Jupiter are a team in a way, Jupiter is a little sun actually. So the Sun is the soul of all, the fire that is everting, Jupiter is the spark within each of us that wants to shine. The sun is our kingdom, are we focusing on our kingdom or not minding our business and so wasting our energy? That is the Sun. Jupiter is the guide to the kingdom, are we following our inspirations to do good, to be creative? If so, the kingdom is guided towards success.

@ernst  Is that why if Jupiter is debilitated in Capricorn, it takes time for the person to find their path in life?

Yes, that is part of it, but in some ways, jupiter is more difficult in signs of gemini and libra where its hard for a person to find their true spark and get caught up in the worlds sparks.

@vanjarl, I really understood the Sun when I read the Graha Sutras: "... the Sun represents the Soul. Soul, of course, being beyond creation, cannot be truly represented by anything in creation, including any Graha. What the Sun actually represents in the individual's intuitive knowing of his or her soul nature. The intuitive knowing (...) provides confidence, self-esteem, nobility and the capacity to sacrifice the things of the world for higher purposes." So, to me, the Sun acts like an "anchor", or like Ernst said, our "kingdom", that the other planets are here to "serve", including Jupiter and his wisdom, purpose and goodness.
