Why isn’t mulatrikona considered for a planet’s yang strength? It was my understanding that mulatrikona gives a graha its strength whereas exaltation gives it its best quality.

Mulatrikona is an off or on strength, a planet is in mulatrikona or its not. Uccha bala, chestha bala and dig bala are variable strengths from 0-60. Those are more a yard stick measurement. MT and exaltation make a person proud, they help create avasthas, but they are not yard stick strengths. but yes, you could say, a planet in MT has a lot of strength to DO and that is yang. And a planet in EX has a lot of luck and support which is YIN, but its not a variable strenght, its a posisiton.

@ernst in an example of Venus Moon conjunction in Libra with Venus in mulatrikona, in terms of pac, would Venus’s yang be really deficient due to starvation or would the mulatrikona state save it? I understand it’s uccha would be pretty bad. I guess I’m not understanding why uccha is the only factor for yang strength regarding pac.  How would this Venus behave differently, if at all, due to being mulatrikona?

Being in MT its proud, so the proud is combating the starvation of moon and proud wins.
